I like that I can just go onto my phone push a button and it opens. My curtains brings in the beautiful sunshine or I can see what’s going on real quickly and I like that I can just push a button to close them very easy to install and very easy to use.
This smart curtain is a dream come true. I have been wanting something like this for a long time. I absolutely love it and will be getting more. I’m addicted!
Can’t believe it works as well as it does !
I’ve been waiting years for someone to crack the code and make a product that would work on my large heavy drapes. These do so flawlessly and I have them programmed to open in am and close at night so no longer struggling with opening and closing and having to fix connectors at top. I also bought drape magnet clips so when they close I can simple push the magnets together so no sunlight comes thru
I have been looking for a way to automate curtains in a simple way and I have finally found the way with Ryse!
This product was SO easy to set up! Seriously, I am bad with technology but the app walked me through every step and even had an in depth demo of the functionality! I’m throughly impressed!
I initially was gifted one SmartCurtain and then purchased a second unit, along with the SmartBridge to connect to HomeKit (Apple). I now love scheduling when the curtains open and close using weather as well as time as a trigger, it's AMAZING! I am giving the SmartCurtain only 4 stars instead of 5, because for our grommet-style curtains, a plastic strip had to be purchased for the top of the curtain rod, allowing the SmartCurtain(s) to operate flawlessly every time. Before installing the acrylic slide on top of the rod, the SmartCurtain would get to a point and then stop due to the restriction occurring during operation. If this strip was included, it would have been a perfect product for us.
Works pretty well. I have had some issues with the Homekit integration that required special firmware and having my AppleTV run wirelessly vs hardwired over ethernet.
Works better than expected. I have a cheap tension rod with a lip and it travels over it well (with the sticker smoother thing that comes with the device), and pulls the heavy, sound insulation curtain with ease. Now I don't have to reach back there and finagle the curtain closed. It just does it for me. So nice.

One of the things I like most about these products is how easy it is to use them through your cell phone. I love the way they work and, above all, how beautiful they look.
I’ve wanted an automatic curtain opener for years, and I’m excited to finally have one. It makes getting up in the morning easier since I have blackout curtains. I was disappointed to realize that in order to do any kind of scheduling, I have to buy either the button or the hub. The device itself only allows for opening and closing via the app the process for setting it up and specifying which direction I wanted the curtain to open was really easy. It’s not as loud as it sounds in the video.
I never knew that having automatic curtains was possible with regular curtains. It is such a luxury having my curtains open and close without having to get up. I love it!! Definitely recommend it!
The smart curtain is a good idea but it has a few issues with calibration. I am hoping V2 will be even better.

It seems to be an effective device for certain applications. Alas, we returned the SmartCurtain products after several days of effort. Our curtain rods are not smooth enough to allow effective operation. The networking was fine. The app and homekit integration are fine.
App is very glitchy. Hard to connect to curtains. Works about half the time. Pretty disappointing. Cool when it works but not a good enough percentage. to be worth it.
It's great but not flawless. I have semi-regular calibration issues. My set is two smart bots for a middle placement on a single window with two curtains. I'm still making sure it's not human error, and I've set them up three times now, but sometimes one side just doesn't open or close, and I have to go into the app and manually select that curtain. It's also about 60/40 on whether they both open when using Alexa. I love the idea, but Switchbot had zero calibration issues, but was an uglier set-up that was more visible. Still on the fence about keeping these.
I'd love to video it working when I finish installing it. If I can figure out how to update this, I will. Feel free to send update instructions. I got one for a gift and waited for a second one that I then ordered too before installing. Very pleased so far. :))
My husband is disabled and uses a wheelchair. As a result, he is unable to open and close our the living room curtains on his own. The RYSE Smart Curtain allows him to easily open and close the curtains himself from the app on his phone.
